  5.   Welcome to volume two of the IkonHo!© collection! Explore the even more colourful side of fb:i! on your Macintosh™! Before you copy and paste the Ikons! in the usual way please read the following lengthy note for additional shareware information. Thanks!

  8. •• To make sure that the Finder™ remembers the new Ikons! it is recommended that you open the folder/document/volume you have pasted the Ikon! onto once and close it again. If this would take you months you can do something even better instead: After having pasted the Ikons! of your choice restart your Mac and have the desktop rebuilt by holding down both the Command and Option key during startup (press immediately after all your extensions and control panels have loaded. You should do this from time to time anyway, since it »refreshes« your machine’s memory and helps to save space).
  9.   If you, for what reason ever, want any old standard icon back on an item, »Get Info« for it, mark the custom Ikon! and hit Delete. Whomp! You’re back to dull reality.

  11. Excursion: All the ƒs of fb:i!

  13.   What is all that »ƒ«-business good for? Well, it keeps you and me from getting confused when viewing IkonHo!© collections. From the day I created my first icons (in the beginning they were just that, not the elaborated 256-colour Ikons! I do now) until today, I have designed about 500 of these tiny mouse-drawn illustrations for the Macintosh (figure out how many pixels that is. Each square-shaped full size icon consists of exactly 1024 of them).
  14.   The more Ikons! I create, the more folders I need to store and categorize them. And so I fell into the habit of adding a swashed »ƒ« (key combination Option-f) to the name of each IkonHo!© folder. I want to be sure that it actually is a folder (even when viewing it by symbol) and not one of my folder Ikons!. But then again I wanted to be able to tell folder Ikons! from all others (even in dialog boxes), so I decided to give them a lower case »f.« in the name. And that’s why you and me can never get confused when viewing IkonHo!© collections.
